The Minnesota Wild on Monday exercised the contract option on center Brian Rolston for the 2007-2008 season.
The 33-year-old Rolston established a career high and franchise record for points this season with 79. He played in all 82 games, scoring 34 goals and adding 45 assists in his first season with the Wild.
Rolston also led the team with 15 power-play goals and five shorthanded tallies, and finished tied for the lead with 20 multiple-point games and seven game-winning goals.
A member of the United States' Olympic squad in Turino, he recorded three power-play goals and an assist in six games.
