Default Wild sign Pascal Dupuis

Got the following from TSN's website,
Quote:
Dupuis comes to terms with Wild

TSN.ca Staff

10/25/2003

TSN has learned that the Minnesota Wild have signed forward Pascal Dupuis, ending a holdout by the restricted free agent.

The signing leaves just forward Marian Gaborik, the team's other holdout, to sign.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed but TSN has learned that it's a 3-year deal.

Dupuis collected 20 goals and 28 assists with a plus-17 rating last season and, along with Gaborik, lead the Wild in goals as the club battled to the Western Conference finals before losing to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

Earlier in the month, Dupuis' agent Allan Walsh (who also represents Gaborik) said three European teams had contacted his client, offering more than what Minnesota had put on the table.

Dupuis has been working out with the Concordia University hockey team in Montreal during contract negotiations.
Good to see Pascal Dupoopee signed but contary to the above article, I think the Wild needs to resign Cliff Ronning as well as Gaborik.

I wonder if Walsh is Ronning's agent as well. k:

Default Wild signs Dupuis:blackmail, affairs, business as usual

People, wake up, this is an important thread. Maybe I'm not making them interesting enough. Hmmm, I heard from a friend of a friend that Gaborik was caught sleeping with Allen Walsh's wife and that's why he changed agents. I can't confirm this rumour because the friend of a friend is on a fishing trip right now. k: As for Dupuis, I heard from another friend of a former friend's sister's boyfriend that the reason why Dupuis finally got his deal was he has photos of Lemaire indulging in his Zamboni fetish. It's hard to believe but I will let my imagination run wild until I talk to the boyfriend in 5 years. (He's in prison). k:

While Pascal Dupoopee is no Marion Gaborik, he did tie for the second most points on the Wild last season and helped lead the Wild all the way to Western finals.

Dupoopee will give the Wild the much needed offensive threat the team has lacked to this point in the season. The Wild realized that the team was not going anywhere as long as they lacked both of their top players.

If the Wild does start winning, I expect the Wild to regain the upperhand in the Gaborik negotations and the contract talks to drag out even longer. If the Wild continue the downward slide into the NHL cellar, expect Gaborik in the lineup by November 1.

Good. Great. Let's see Gaborik signed too, and then we'll see how much the Wild really like A. Daigle. Another Walsh client working out with the Concordia team. Hmmm. Havlat was too. Maybe Walsh has a financial interest in the Concordia team

haha....Ice is funny. It's good to see that he signed, finally. But having him sign isn't going to help the team greatfully. Yes, they may win a few more games but overall Ronning and Gabby are the only ones they should be really worried in signing.

Good signing... but I don't think Minnesota wants Ronning anymore. The big concern is Gaborik, obvoiusly.

Without Gaborik and Ronning, no playoffs.

Sign Gaborik fast, or this team will continue to slide.
