Default Starting Goaltender?

With all the Goalie swapping and starting the Wild did during the playoffs its a surprise they got as far as they did. Always Fernandez or Rolosison? Who do you think will start for the Wild next year?

I think they will do the same as they did this year. But the thing that sucks about that is that one goalie can have alot of momentum and then the other goalie gets put in. But overall both very good goalies. My choice would be roloson.

well Roloson has that shoulder injury and depending on how well his recooperation goes I'm gonna say Fernandez right now.

It's hard to say. Although if I had to pick a goaltender in a must-win game, I'd choose Roloson.

agreed, out of the two he has much more experience but both played well in the playoffs this year.

I agree with Mcbone. They will probably do the same thing and play both, about equal amount of games. They did great doing that process this year and it's not a bad idea when you have two capable goalies. But if one gets hot, then they'll play him until they slow down... then it's back to the alternating way. But if I really had to pick, it would be Roloson.

Both netminders were amazing last year. But I wonder how long they can continue under this rotating goalie system.

There are so many pros and cons to it!

pros:
- well rested
- time to recover if needed

cons:
- extensive injury, can't rotate with a minor goalie... they don't "fit" the system
- if one gets traded, the work load for the other doubles... having played under a rotation system can either swing back into a full time with the snap of the fingers?
