Minnesota Wild right wing Marian Gaborik will have surgery to repair a hernia within the next two weeks and is expected to be ready for training camp in the fall. Gaborik, the Wild's leading scorer, had a similar operation in July 2001.
Assistant General Manager Tom Lynn said Wednesday that five other Minnesota players also will have surgery for minor injuries in the next couple of weeks: forward Andrew Brunette (shoulder), goalie Dwayne Roloson (shoulder), defenseman Willie Mitchell (wrist), forward Richard Park (shoulder) and defenseman Jeremy Stevenson (knee).
With the exception of Gaborik, each player will take about six-to-eight weeks to rehabilitate, Lynn said. Gaborik's recovery could take longer.
