The Minnesota Wild, in conjunction with FSN North, KSTC.TV, Channel 45 and 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS today announced the club’s cable broadcast and over-the-air television schedule for the 2007-08 season. FSN North will televise a total of 45 games, KSTC.TV, Channel 45 will broadcast 22 contests and 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS will air three matches. The Wild are also scheduled to make three national television appearances on VERSUS this year.

FSN North’s first broadcast will be on Wednesday, Oct. 10 when Minnesota hosts the Edmonton Oilers to complete its season-opening three-game homestand. Additional highlights of the 45-game schedule include 21 games against Northwest Division opponents, including seven against Edmonton, five each against the Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche and four against the Vancouver Canucks. FSN North will also broadcast three matches against the San Jose Sharks, and two each against the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Nashville Predators, Phoenix Coyotes and St. Louis Blues, along with the Wild’s first match against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 14 in Anaheim. FSN North will also telecast games against the following Eastern Conference opponents: Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, Tampa Bay Lightning and Washington Capitals. FSN North’s schedule includes 21 telecasts at Xcel Energy Center and 24 road contests. Wild Live on FSN North airs before and after every game telecast.
KSTC.TV, Channel 45 will broadcast the Wild’s first two regular season contests, including the home opener on Thursday, Oct. 4 against Chicago at 7:30 p.m. Additional highlights of the 22-game schedule include nine contests against Northwest Division foes, including three each against Calgary and Vancouver, two against Colorado and one match against Edmonton. Included in KSTC.TV’s broadcast schedule are three games against the Dallas Stars, two games each against Chicago, Detroit and Nashville and the first visit to the Xcel Energy Center by the defending Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks on Jan. 18. KSTC.TV will broadcast 14 games at Xcel Energy Center and eight road telecasts.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS will broadcast three Sunday afternoon games this season including the regular season finale at Colorado on April 6. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS will also broadcast the Feb. 24 home game against Calgary and the March 9 home game against San Jose. All three games will also be simulcast on KSTC.TV, Channel 45.
