Eric Belanger has agreed to a three-year deal with the Minnesota Wild worth $5.25 million, or $1.75 million per year.

Belanger appeared in 80 games in the 2006-07 with Carolina and Atlanta and scored 17 goals and 35 points.

The Sherbrooke, Quebec native was traded to Nashville Predators on February 9, 2007 for center Josef Vasicek. The next day the Predators shipped him to Atlanta for defensemen Vitaly Vishnevski.
