OLYMPIA STADIUM -LIFETIME MEMBER- Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: MICHIGAN Posts: 970 Credits: 13,954.43	Bill Masterton Everyone has heard of the bill masterton trophy. this trophy was named after the former Minnesota North Star who died on 1-15-1968 after hitting the back of his head on the ice during a game with the oakland seals on 1-13-1968.his number 19 was retired by the north stars on 1-17-1987
