Default The Met Center

The home of the minnesota north stars for there entire stay in the NHL was the met center. the met center was built next to the former home of the minnesota twins the metropolitan stadium.its capacity for hockey was around 15,000. the WHA minnesota fighting saints used the met center in 1972 before moving to the saint paul civic center.the met center was built in 1967 and was torn down in 1995.when the arena was demolished with explosives all of the arena did not come down.to finish the demolition job they tore down the met the old fashion way with the wrecking ball. the met was located next to the mall of america, the baseball stadium for the twins that was next door was torn down around 1985.
