Default Canucks streak into LA

(Sports Network) - The Vancouver Canucks put a five-game win streak to the test tonight in Los Angeles, where the Northwest Division leaders visit the Kings for the first time this season.

Vancouver's current run has given the club a three-point advantage over the Minnesota Wild in the tightly-bunched Northwest heading into tonight's play. Since December 26, the Canucks have amassed a league-best 18-3-3 overall record.

The Canucks have also been stellar on the road during that span, compiling a 10-1-1 mark in 12 away games. Vancouver has won its last four as the visitor and started a four-game road trip with an overtime decision over Pacific Division leader Anaheim on Tuesday.

Daniel Sedin scored 2:19 into the extra period to give Vancouver a hard-earned 3-2 victory over the Ducks, while backup goaltender Dany Sabourin turned away 38-of-40 shots. Kevin Bieksa and Markus Naslund had the regulation goals in the win.
