Los Angeles Kings forward Pavol Demitra is expected to undergo a surgical procedure tomorrow, Friday, to repair a nasal fracture, Kings GM Dave Taylor announced today.
The surgery is expected to allow Demitra, 31, to correct breathing difficulties due to an injury he suffered during the Olympics in February. The surgical procedure is scheduled to be performed by Dr. Chester Griffiths, a member of the Kings medical staff.
Demitra has played in one game with the Kings since returning from the Olympics after he took a puck to the face during a game while representing his native Slovakia
In 51 games with the Kings this season, his first with the club, the 6-0, 206-pound native of Dubnica, Slovakia, has 57 points and 36 penalty minutes with compiling a team-best plus-21 rating.

the kings will not make the playoffs now!
From what I've noticed in Demitra is he'll go invisible at times on the ice, which might be an old trait of his. Frolov coming back into the lineup should help a bit.
