Default Struggling Kings visit Denver

Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Kings hope to get on track tonight when they visit the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center.

LA has lost five of its last six games, including Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to visiting Anaheim. Ryan Getzlaf scored the deciding goal in the fifth round of the shootout to lift the Ducks.

Lubomir Visnovsky and Michael Cammalleri both found the net for the Kings, while netminder Mathieu Garon turned away 19 shots in defeat.

The loss brought the Kings back down to earth after Thursday's 4-0 pounding of host Phoenix.

LA, with eight points, is already lagging behind in the Pacific Division, as the top three teams are beginning to separate at this early juncture. Dallas and Anaheim are tied for the lead with 14 points, while San Jose is third with 12.

The Kings open a four-game road trip tonight and will visit Minnesota on Wednesday.

Colorado, meanwhile, had a two-game winning streak ended in Saturday's 8-5 loss to Montreal. The setback ended the team's eastern Canadian road trip which included wins in Toronto and Ottawa.

They're getting killed right now.

Their defence is looking like Swiss cheese.

Budaj is in net for the Avs, and doing fine.

Edit: Oh, Game over. 6-1 Final, and Cloutier is overrated IMO.
