Canadian Invitational?
As suggested by Rustybadcock, should we pull out of the WJC's and start our own invitational tournament?
I would like the idea, with a twist.
8 teams:
Canada East (QMJHL + 1/2 OHL)
Canada West (WHL + 1/2 OHL)
USA
Russia
Team Scandinavia (Fin + Swe + Nor + Den)
Team Europe (Cze + Svk + Ger + Sui)
Team World 1 (Picked from players not yet selected from around the world)
Team World 2 (Picked from players not yet selected from around the world)
Should make for an exciting and comptetive tourney. Top players from countries like Latvia and Ukraine would get exposure on the world teams playing with quality players left over from CAN, RUS, USA, SWE etc.
