Hi, folks ...

My favorite teams, as you can tell from my username, are the Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers. The Wings are my home team, so that's pretty self-explanatory, but I've always liked the Oilers, too ...

It's not easy cheering for the Oilers in Wings World, but I can catch some of the games on CBC ...

I was looking for some other hockey boards to post on and found this one by a search engine. I co-moderate a board on another network and post on a couple of others ... whenever I have time, that is. I look forward to posting here and talking with other hockey fans, whether they're fans of my favorite teams or fans of other teams ...

Alot of history between the Wings and Edmonton. The Edmonton Flyers used to be the Wings farm club for years and years. Welcome to HF.

The Wings and Canucks have a good rivalry brewing. I wonder how much of that may be because Marc Crawford is the Canucks coach? The Canucks do remind me a little of the Avs when Crawford was coaching that team ...

The Oilers and Canucks have a good rivalry, too. Unfortunately, the Oilers haven't had too much luck against them thus far.

I have a friend on another board who is a Penguins/Canucks fan ... I made a game bet with him where whoever loses has to post 3 reason why the other team won (because we can't post signatures on that board, otherwise whoever lost would have to post a slogan sig made up by whoever wins for a week) ... I have not won a bet against him yet. D'OH! And it's mostly because of those Canucks ...

I usually never know who to cheer on when the Wings and Oilers meet, and I end up catching some (good-natured) flak for that here in Mo-Town ...
