Hey I want to be the first person who posts a thread in here, anyways this looks like a good section to let down the curtains to a certain extent, I know some of you will feed us a line of BS, but I hope that you can be as honest on here as possible.
First off I want to tell you a bit about myself, I am a ancient 42 year old who has been in the Military since Dec 1980, I first joined as Militia. But after going to Gagetown NB to look after my Regiments Cougar Armoured vehicles the Regular forces came calling, and I joined the regular forces in Jul of 83. I was a tank gunner who had spot duty as a driver, now if anyone wants to go 4X4ing that is the way to do it.
I have been to a few foriegn countries, Germany, Italy (and New Brunswick LOL). I was posted to Germany from 84-87 where I picked up the love of my life my wife, oh and when we came back to Canada we also had a bundle of joy, my son.
After being repatriated to Canada, I decided that the Army wasn't a place to make a good living, never mind the abuse that it takes out on the body, before leaving Germany I got my first glimpse of a CF-18 Fighter jet (woooo ahhhhhhh) and I said to myself damn I want to work on them because they look neat. After waiting a year or so I was excepted for training, I wanted to work on the jet engines, I went to Borden Ont (just outside Barrie) to learn how to overhaul the engines and while I was there for 5 months the love of my life gave birth to my beloved little daughter, so now my nuclear family was complete.
After my basic jet engine course I had a weak moment and asked for of all places Cold Lake Alberta, well of course they jumped at me and I arrived with family in tow here in Cold Lake on 19th Jan 1989 where I have tolied since, now I work on Ejection seats.
Now lets see what everybody else has to say after my diatribe........
Hi Earnhardt. I knew someone who joined the military and he married a girl from Germany. He would be 42 or 43. His initials are dl. Just a coincidence?
Haha, we had to start a whole knew thread because of Rusty and FF2.

And if you didn't notice I skirted right by that ejection seat remark............
I think I might have phrased it: “And if you didn't notice I squirted right by that ejaculation seat remark............”
Aw, you’ve probably heard that ejaculation thing a million times before.

So, I’m older than matt_cooke_fan by what will soon be five years. I am sort of a classical music student. My dad, who is ten years older than flyerfan2, introduced me to Monty Python at a frightfully young age. I think Peter Greenaway is the best film director in the world. I live in Toronto. I hate broccoli and zucchini (except as an exploratory tool). I do the occasional computer-related job for my Mother’s firm. I think Mr. Lahey is a person to look up to. My current “soul mate” is originally from Brazil and hates Trailer Park Boys. I like working with my hands (building things that is). I like Science and Art. I am in no way religious. I drink a lot of Coke and eat a lot of hamburgers, fried chicken, and potato chips. I play left wing.
I won’t say what my real name is, but you can call me Pat.
