I just started reading the first book in the series A Song of Ice and Fire- A Game of Thrones. The show on HBO got me into it and I am seriously hooked. I figured I'd read the books in between each season of the show.

EDIT: I just noticed MadDevil has been talking about this series from the beginning of this thread. Just don't spoil anything for me since you seem to be just a little ahead of me.

I'm reading "Pride and Prejudice" recently. Watched the movie before but haven't read the book.

well....
I am reading Zoo City by Lauren Beukes which at first I found exceedingly strange, but I am now getting into it and enjoying the story. I also plan on reading the second in William Kent Krueger's series...

My son (12) and I have a deal: I read something he wants if he reads a book of my choosing. So, the last book I read was "Mockingjay", from "The Hunger Games" trilogy, which he was over the moon about.

I'm reading the 2nd book in the FullMetal Alchemist Series. I have already seen every episode of the original TV series, so reading the books is a nice refresher of the story.

I'm currently reading two great books...

"Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team" by George Jonas

Excellent book about how the Mossad tracked down and snuffed out the terrorists who were involved in the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre. Simply put, the Mossad doesn't mess around.

"Murder Machine" by Gene Mustain and Jerry Capeci

The true story of the DeMeo crew of the Gambino crime family and the "jobs" they pulled off for the family, including the murders of over 70 people during a 10-year period in the 70's and 80's.

The one book I have on the shelf and waiting...

"American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History " by Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice

The true story of Chris Kyle, a retired Navy Seal sniper who had 255 claimed and 160 confirmed kills during the Iraq War. Very anxious to read this one.

Default What I AM Reading

How Hockey Saved A Jew From The Holocaust: The Rudi Ball Story by Wayne Frye is a dynamite book. Got mine from Amazon's Kindle Store for only $2.99. Never heard of Rudi Ball until I read the book. He was the premiere European player of his time. Terrific story about him and his teammates who actually stood up to Hitler.
