Some that come to mind, no particular order:

-The Godfather (1 and 2)
-Night of the Living Dead
-Dawn of the Dead
-Bull Durham
-The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
-Jackie Brown
-Original Star Wars trilogy (4, 5, and 6) Well, not ROTJ very much, actually.
-Raiders of the Lost Ark
-Unforgiven

That's what jumped into my head pretty quickly...

Ah, another person that liked The Thin Red Line. Most people wrinkle up their face and complain about how boring it was.

It had a great story, excellent actors. I guess it wasn't Hollywood Special Effects, blow everything up in sight, enough for crititcs.

Good selection of movies. You are the first to mention "The Cook, the Thief..." in a long time. Not alot of people know that movie. Excellent choice.
