The world's full of people that don't love hockey above all other games...

Muff Diving is by far my favourite sport.

Hockey is my favourite spectator sport. Naw, what am I saying? All-women Muff Diving is my favourite spectator sport.

I've seen that, it was a new event in the Winter Olympics last time wasn't it? Very entertaining. ... or was it the Onymphpics?

You know mz379, few people realise how ancient a sport Muff Diving really is. It dates all the way back to the first Onymphics.

The Encyclopaedia Britannica states:

“...because women were barred from being even spectators in the Olympics, Sappho, the poetess, founded a women-only sporting event on the Island of Lesbos in the 6th century B.C. The genitalia of the Goddess Aphrodite was...”

It goes on to say:

“...there is much evidence supporting the suggestion that Muff Diving was the top discipline at the Onymphics but clearly there were many other popular events including Mud Wrestling, Pole Halting (a discipline requiring massive vaginal muscular skill), and Diddly Winks...”

Sappho, herself wrote passionately about the sport:

“And into the heavens I leapt
When she with the golden tongue did touch me
T’was I that came first at the start
Yet last at the end
And for great joy I wept”

It’s a short tribute considering the poem recounts what was reputably the longest orgasm in the history of the Onymphics. But I think it’s one of her most beautiful works.

Hilarious!!!!!!!!!! I used to have a t-shirt that said, "Muff Divers Local #69 - we dive at five" I wore it proudly when I was 16. Most parents didn't know what it meant except one of my buddy's Mom (she gave me an odd smile that kinda freaked me out).........

I really enjoyed your post! Don't let anyone try to tell you you're misusing your creative intellect ...... even if they're right .... which they aren't.
