Yep it's one of my favourite pass times.I think the best part of golf is the fact no matter how good or how awefull you play you needn't look far to see who is to blame or praise for the way your round went.Golf can be quite humbeling at times because you are on your own and have no where else to put blame for your score you only need to look in the mirror to find the cause of your score, theres no finger pointing or others to blame just yourself.I don't get to play the game as much as i would like to for the fact i'm a superintendent on a golf course and when i get some free time the course is usually the last place i want to be.I generally only play around 40 to 50 rounds a year not including the three tournys i play in which are 3 rounds each apiece.I got into my job because of my love of the game but didn't realize how much less golf i would play and how much my handicap would grow because of the lack of time to get the sticks out.I went from a solid 1 or 2 handicap to about an 8 now but i wouldn't change a thing as theres no better job in the world in my eyes i love it.
I golf a few times in the summer, maybe about 8 times.
It's a fun sport when things are going your way and hitting the ball smoothly. I had a few good games at the end of the year... with that being said, when things aren't going my way I get frustrated and angry, then do even worse.
It's a fun thing to do when hanging out with friends, have a laugh or ten about how badly we play...

anyone ever get a whole in one??
No but getting a birdie or an eagle can make your entire round! Or at least mine. LOL
165 yd. elevated tee, just a nice 7 iron, bounced on the apron, bounced on the green, hit the flag about a foot off the ground and dropped in. I'd been paired with an old couple and a young junior hockey player that day and the man had had 1 before, and the woman had had 2, so it was old hat for them.
Played a lot of golf that summer for me, ~60 rounds on a real tough course, playing 2 balls a number of those rounds as I was by myself in the heat of the day, probably 5 times as much as I've played before or since, actually had a handicap, got it down to about 12 by the end of the season. I pared the front nine once that year, figured I'd finally figure the game out, then promptly blew up to a 45 on the back. #@#
Haven't been able to play much golf at all since then, but love the game.

Whaaaaaat! You mean you never blame those golf course workers for having their machines running too loud in the background when you're trying to make that pivital shot only to duff it about 10 yards and then you turn your head towards the worker and give him/her an icy cold stare for screwing up your shot
I agree with McBone 17 that golf is the most challenging sport and thats why I Love it!There's nothing more that I like than changing holes in the morning and making it tough and then going out after work and playing them challenging pin positions.
For most other golfers, whether they're good or bad, seem to always make that one good shot per round which makes them keep coming back for more, and the beercart and snack shack chick also help in bringing these horndogs back
I just played golf yesterday for the first time in 4 months in our annual Superbowl tournament. Its a 9 hole scramble but with the snow that we still have we had to reconfigure 9 holes and make them into Par 3's,the Super and I spent 5 hrs shovelling the snow from off the greens on Saturday so we could play on Sunday.Btw I sucked in the tourney but had a blast,I'm blaming the alcohol! k:
Cheers

to watch...i'd have to say it's really boring...to play...it's ok...not the best...but if your playing with other inexperienced players like myself it can be fun
