Default Do you guys know what donairs are?

My bud was down from western canada and ha no idea what a donair was. I know it really popular out in the maritimes eh, but does anyone eat donair on a regular basis?

Well the donair to my knowledege has lebanese origines. It;s sold around here in pizza joints.

The donair meat (spicey, really compackted ground beaf, kinda like a big spicey meat loaf on a stick) is place on a pole



That spins around a heat sourse, they it is shaved of and fried over a stove on a smooth suface. A pita bread is also fried on the stove. Then the meat and your choice or tomato and/or ognion is placed over the pita bread and over top it is drenched with donair sauce (white, flour, icing sugar and water I think).

this messy, greasy treat is very popular anytime or after a good night on the down...

I live in Edmonton, and we only have about a million donair places here. Your friend must walk around with his eyes closed, or something.

i used to live in the maritimes in p.e.i. and we used to eat those but telusduck have you every had a lobster roll if not you should man i miss them.
