The Phoenix Coyotes have acquired C Antoine Vermette from the Columbus Blue Jackets for 2 draft picks ( 2nd from Ottawa and a 5th [4th if the coyotes advance in the playoffs] and goaltender Curtis McElhinney.

Not a bad deal IMO. We get another decent center to continue with our philosophy of scouring by committee. He should be a nice addition to our roster. Certainly not the #1 center we are looking for but still a happy addition. Now if we just add one more defender and winger Ill be very satisfied going into the playoffs. I would also like to see us move Langkow for someone else but that's a personal opinion I have always had for him.

a good move, gives us more depth and options at centre, plus on a 1st or 2nd line role vermette production will improve with out doubt.

and basically we traded turris for vermette and rundblad so a good move
