It's an offer for Atlanta that they can't refuse. Not an offer for Pittsburgh.
Notice how the only players that have remained constant in the deal are Armstrong and Hedberg? That's what Marc Andre Fleury Rulz wanted. I never saw the reasoning behind why he would want Armstrong back, but to think that he could acquire him by trading UFA Gill and UFA Sykora is laughable. He's a lot more valuable to the Thrashers franchise then he would be to the Penguins franchise.
My whole argument is that UFA Gill and UFA Sykora has no value, and that a deal consisting of Armstrong/Hedberg/3rd for Kennedy/Prospect/4th is a hell of a lot more even. I only tossed Caputi in there because he's one of the few Penguins prospects that I actually know their name, the other being Tangradi.
If I wanted someone out of Pittsburgh, I would be using Detroit as my trade basis, not Atlanta.
