Jaromir Jagr says he expected to open training camp in New York this fall, rather than Washington.

Jagr, you stupid imbecile, is it not obvious that the Capitals want to get rid of you, your salary and that stupid salute.

If you had reworked your salary, you could have joined the country club, "Rangerhaven". It only accepts players that are past their prime or players that have failed to meet their potential. Rangerhaven is known for light workouts, and minimal effort during games. It is situated close to a lot of clubs and bars so you can get hosed every night. Plus there are lots of floozies hanging around the players entrance for companionship. All this plus a big check from your boss every couple of weeks.

Instead you remain in Washington, playing for a team that expects you to work hard and score goals. Jeez, the slave drivers. Next they will want you to learn how to backcheck. Plus you're hardly ever in the news because politicians are getting more action than stars of the adult film industry.

Jaromir, you had a chance for a royal flush and instead you came up with a pair of 2's.

if hes thinking about his own contract and not the teams situation, or helping another team.. then hes not a team player.

It's not like somebody like Mother Theresa is asking him to make concessions, it's a rep of the Owners. He'd be foolish to trust them. Remember Gordie Howe and Alan Eagleson? I think you're mistaking team player with owner's puppet.

Agreed!,

Too many players the money comes first, and Jagar is one that plays for money.

Very few players play for the glory and enjoyment of the game of hockey. it's too bad that all the more-talented players play for the dough.

Not enough! I think Howe did the honourable thing and told his boss to pay him what he thought was fair. Unfortunately, his boss was not quite as honourable and paid Howe less than he was worth. Which kept players salaries down for years BTW.

Can you say for certain, that the players today are more spoiled than the multi-millionaire and billionaire owners?

Jagr like Bure is overrated, both of them never live up to potential that they have, and in the end seems as if they are just lazy players. Jagr can be amazing when hes given the right ppl, (ie. When he was with the pens) but New York can hardly provide that for him. IMO the Rangers would be better off with out Jagr, his ego (like most of the players on that team) gets in the way of his playing.
