yeah unless you thin the 05 senators were as good as the 80's oilers this has to go to the USSR teams.

I'll humour you, and actually answer this, and say that if you took a time machine and transported the 05 sens back to play against, say, the '72 USSR team, the Sens would ruin them.

Players today are bigger, stronger, faster. Coaches today would pick apart the systems that that team played, as they've been studying them and improving on them for 30 years. Goalies now are fundamentally way better than they were then, and the equipment is night and day better. There would very likely be a lot of injuries if this happened.

This is pretty much the most ridiculous question ever.

the question should have been like : What is the best team of all times.? -- Dinamo Riga Mid 80s-91. then CCCP 80, then 72.
