Default Vapor XXXX SE Shaft

Hi,

I just bought Vapor XXXX SE shaft. I didn't know anything about tapered blades or shafts, so i bought Easton Synergy ST blade. Is that compatible with XXXX SE shaft, wich is tapered right? And ST blade is non-tapered? Whats the difference? What about XXXX and XXXX SE, whats the difference?

Sry bad english..

Edit: the shaft shows 0.620 taper, what that means?

tapered shafts are used with tapered blades. Tapered blades have a slimmer hosel. A hosel is the part of the blade that goes into the tapered end of the stick. A tapered hosel measures 1.00"x0.50"

A regular shaft uses the standard size hosel, which is a little cheaper than tapered.

What you bought, I believe, is a regular shaft. To make sure you know what you have, measure the shaft dimensions and it should be bigger than 1"x.5". If not, then you have a tapered shaft.
