ok so I got the Superfeet insoles and they helped, but my feet still hurt on the arches and I have to believe they could feel better.
I tried my teammates XXXX and they were too small, same size as my CCMs but they must run smaller. So I'm planning a trip to head out and try on skates...
I would like to get something soon,(with the Superfeet I can at least get through a practice) but when is the best time of the year to buy new skates?
Thanks again for the help!!!
I would say now would be a good time, since most shops are going to start getting rid of older inventory to make way for new stock.

I had a similar problem with my NBH Supremes when i bought them so i tried the better insole trick too. It didn't work though. I have decided, right or wrong, that the pain, which i will still occasionally get, is due to over-tightening the skates. Initially i did this to help them to mold to my foot and 'break in', but as they broke in i didn't need to ratchet down on them as much across the top of the foot... the last 3 eyelets or so for ankle support still get a moderate tightening. if your foot is too wide keeping them on the looser side may not be enough, but this suboptimal fit might have been apparent to you at the time of purchase..... sorry for the basic and lengthy reply but hope this saves you a little $$$ at least for the time being.
I totally agree with Vinny. In the past, with different brands of skates, I wasn't feeling any discomfort in my arches but when I bought my new NBH skates I started to feel the same kind of pain you mentioned. After a while I just loosened up the laces a bit, which was strange for me because I like a snug fit, but that's really all it took; a lot less pain. Good luck with your skates.

do you have any foot problems? such as fallen arches? do you wear insoles in your shoes?
Insoles need time to break in as well, i bought a pair made my shock doctor and at first they bothered the arches of my feet to (my bad ones did not) and it took about 4 hours of skating time for that to go away. Different insoles also fit and feel different, just like the skates.
