It's about that time of the year again to get together who's gonna be joining in on fantasy football. I got the feeling that Amo is already down for this, considering he has been abused by me in more than one way over the past few years in football.
Just a quick question though that I have made a poll for. Would people more like to have to pick individual defensive players or do like we've done the last couple times and just pick team defenses?
Funny you should bring this up as I've just set up this years league. I voted team d, its easier at least for me, less research and if you are like me you join too many pools.
I'm in. Grumpy Grannies. I have access to a better-than-POS computer now, so I can actually load the screens unlike with the baseball league that I had to abandon.
just a question also about this team defense thing. so in order of the draft one can pick an entire team defense instead of that of one particular offensive player?
my suggestion if so that an entire teams defense could be drafted i would like to suggest maybe if possible that all offensive players be drafted first then the person who picks last in the draft then gets to pick first on the defensive side of the fantasy league. in all respects defensive numbers can really improve ones score even in fantasy league play. and the person picking first can really have some great team by grabing that one great team with that great defense which i dont think is all that fair.
i once played in some vegas like league through the orginzed bookie were we each put up $300.00. but we drafted as per player regardless of position till each qualiyfing position had been filled. and that turned out to be alot of fun with many beers all night. i might join one again this year if so ill prob be buying the NFL package on my cable. it just makes it so much more interesting and gives the wifey so much agada. :haha:

It's not like if you pick a team defense, you get all those players. Like, for instance, if you picked Baltimore. You wouldn't have Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Chris McAllister, etc. You would just have the Baltimore defense. And you get scored on what they do.
The individual defensive players would involve drafting individual players so instead of maybe drafting a 3rd WR you can make you're first pick for defensive players that you want and try to balance it out that way. I think it's a little more challenging that way, which is wy I proposed it. But if people wanna stick to the normal team defenses, that's fine with me.
We can actually have it both ways, we can chose a team D as well as D, Db and DL if we wanted to. I think that might be too much for myself. But if the majority want that then I'm fine, but my choice would be to keep it Team D only.
