I agree to that partially. Definately that first round you have to draft the best talent. I would suspect that the first three rounds you probably should draft based on talent level and not team need but those rounds after that should be part of your rebuilding.

edmontons(Anaheims) draft pick probably won't be high enough, it deffinatly won't be in the top 5.

Tampa would be crazy to pass on stampkos.But obviously they wouldn't do that.If cliff fletcher is still gm until draft day,he could do a trade that is useful and try to get second or third pick.Because at this moment 7th spot,to them doesn't seem good.Kyle Beach would be a good draft for the leafs,Or Luke Schenn(hopefully)

At the time, when I said it, EDM had a poor record, clearly this isnt the case now.
