There is a good reason I never went to law school.
And yesterday's story on the NHL revamping its order of selection process for the 2007 entry draft is Exhibit A.
While trying to decipher the legalese of the document outlining the actual by-law change I presented a somewhat convoluted explanation of how the new system would work, based on the further a team goes in the playoffs, the worst its draft pick would be.
Well, that's partially true but because of a poor grasp on legalese on my part, it wasn't accurate.
So here's all you need to know about the new rules for entry draft order of selection: The only change to the existing format is that the final four teams that make it to the Conference finals will get the final four picks in the draft, regardless of where they finished in the regular season.
