Default Oates Visits A Former Team

Quote:
(ANAHEIM - Sun. Dec. 14 - 6:00pm MST) OILERS MEET MIGHTY DUCKS FOR FIRST TIME IN 2003-04 The Edmonton Oilers (11-13-5-0) continue their four game road trip as they visit the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (10-10-4-5) tonight at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim. It is the first of four meetings between the Oilers and Mighty Ducks in 2003-04 and the first of two visits to Anaheim by Edmonton. The Oilers will return to Anaheim on Feb. 25 and will host the Mighty Ducks at Rexall Place on Jan. 15 and Feb. 2.
Oilers need a win to get back on track. Oates will probably play fairly well again, saying that the Ducks rejected him. I think Conklin should start, I see a strong alternative goalie system that could be. Thoughts, predictions, comments?

My Prediction: 5-3 Oilers, Oates with 2 assists.

every game is a "need to win" game for the oilers. After falling back so far in the standings they need to win the next 9 games or something. Anaheim is a good start...oilers win 3-1

Edmonton has been playing better IMO, but they're PP and PK are whts really hurting them. PK has been horrible, last game their lack of PKing is what cost them that extra point. Tonight im praying that they are able to captilized on their own PP and be awsome on the PK... This game could be a pivotal point for the standings, Edmonton cannot afford to lose many more games so tonight is basically a must win... That being said I don't think that you can underestimate the Ducks they've got a pretty good team in place, and they are defintaly capable of surprising overconfident teams.
I'd say 2-1 Oilers... BTW who's playing in net tonight? Conklin Im assuming since Tommy played last game...

The winless streak finally ended tonight, 3-2 win. Dvorak had an awsome game with 2 assists on the night, Torres got his 9th and Chimera chipped in with his 3rd. Lets hope this means alot more winning in the next few games or so.
