Dec. 11 - 8:30pm MST) OILERS VISIT SAN JOSE TO START FOUR GAME ROAD TRIP -- The Edmonton Oilers (11-13-3-0) visit the San Jose Sharks (9-7-9-2) tonight at the HP Pavilion at San Jose to open a four game road trip. Tonight's game is the third of four meetings between the teams this season and the Oilers first of two visits to San Jose. The seasonal series is tied at 1-1-0-0 following the first two games at Rexall Place in Edmonton as the Oilers won the season opener 5-2 on Oct. 9 and the Sharks won 2-1 on Nov. 30. The teams conclude the series at San Jose on Mar. 21.
MUST WIN!!! The Oilers cannot fall back anymore than they already have.
My Prediction: The Oilers cannot hear their fans call and fail to win. 4-4 OT.
I agree Oilers have to start winnning this games vs. teams that probally won't make the playoffs. Right now they are playing terrible. I said that if they can't beat Pitts then something is wrong. They almost lost to them...but got away with the win. Now vs. San Jose they must win this game. Oilers will win 4-3 but be outshot by 20+ shots as Salo comes up #1 star
The Oil embark on a four game road trip and the next 12 games are against Western Conf. teams. Now is NOT the time to be slumping. If the Oil continue their losing ways they are quickly going to be a speck in the rest of the other team's rear view mirrors. Every one of these games are actually worth 4 points, not 2.
