Default Oilers vs. Penguins

Can the Oil finally snap out of their horrible 6 game winless streak against the lowly Pens? Pittsburgh sits 30th in the League with a measly 17 points, whereas Edmonton sits at a "lofty" 21st with 23 points.

If the Oil do not win this game do you think K-Lowe will pull the trigger and send some players packing in a multi-player trade?

If the Oilers can't beat the Pens then they have some serious problems....if the Oilers do happen to lose this game changes should happen!

Agreed, if the Oil lose to Wilkes-Barre... I mean Pittsburgh, a change needs to be made. But it will not, cannot, happen. 4-2 Oil.

Me thinks that Kevin has just about beaten a path to the phone, if they lose to Pitts colour a few guys gone in the Oilers roster. You cannot afford to lose too many points at this period of the season, in fact in todays NHL you cannot afford to lose points at anytime in the regular season. Bad enough they lost to Minny, but the Oiler faithful are getting restless seeing as they actually booed fan fave Ryan Smythe..........

If they don't beat the pens then something needs to be done.

Oilers win 4-1

IF Edmonton cannot win against the pens, they're going to need something to shake up the rooster. In general the only thing thats hurting them right now is the PP and PK, they get lotsa shots on net and aren't bad in their own end but the special teams are horrible. Lowe should go for a PP specialist, with oates already here all they need is a trigger man cause oates can win draws which is key for both the PP and PK.

Looks like Ryan Smyth is going back to wing.

Hemsky - York - Smyth

Other lines will be:

Torres - Oates - Pisani
Moreau - Stoll - Dvorak
Chimera - Horcoff - Laraque

Man, oh man....I hope things improve. Well, they can't get worse....can they?

I heard Salo may start this game.

Agreed. MUST WIN!! Smyth back on the wing should spark his offence a bit more and plus playing with Hemsky again (he played with Moreau and Pisani recently). Getting lots of quality shots on the Pens young goalies should produce mroe goals thatn 2 in 111 shots.

My Prediction: 4-2
