Default Edmonton @ Columbus

Tues. Nov. 25th, the Oilers head into BJ territory to scoop 2 points. Currently the Oil are in 6th spot (2 games over .500) in the West and the Bj's are hanging on to 15th place (3 games under .500) by their fingernails.

Edmonton's road record is 3-5-1-0 and Columbus' home record is 7-3-1-0. Edmonton's record for the past 10 games is a respectable, 6-3-1-0 and Columbus has compiled an average 4-4-2-0 in their past 10 games.

What are your thoughts on this matchup? I feel that the Oiler club will still be riding a wave of emotion left over from the weekend and should be able to handle Columbus quite easily. Magic 8-ball says Edmonton by 3 goals.

Edmonton should be able to win. I say 5-3, Conklin still in and Salo still not back.

4-1 Oil

Over the last few games, I've been off by 1 goal, give or take. Please let me be right this time!

Im going to go with Edm. 3-2. They had a tough game agianst the Habs the other night, but even though they lost this team will bounce back. They're scoring goals, and Conklin has looked extremly solid in net for them. CBJ are having a great season, and they'll be tough comeptition if Edmonton gets away from their game plan and takes to many penalties...

4-3 BlueJackets. Columbus is a tough team to play at home.....did you know they were the only team last year to win 20 games at home and not make the playoffs....just somethin to think about.

Default My prediction ...

My prediction for tonight's game is ...

Oilers 2, Jackets 2

The Jackets have been doing better as of late, and I don't think they're going to throw a game away. The Oilers are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Habs in what was an emotional game in the aftermath of the Heritage Hockey Classic.

I have a hunch that the Oilers will start off flat and then will need to work their way up in this game, but we won't throw this one away when all is said and done ...

Either later tonight or tomorrow morning, I plan on posting my own recap of the game ...
