Both the Oilers and Leafs have near-identical winning percentages (.556 for the Oilers and .553 for the Leafs). The difference lies in how each team has done lately ... the Leafs haven't had a good road trip, going winless in the first 4 games of the 6-pack of games on this trip. In fact, Toronto's last win was against the Oilers. ock: Meanwhile, the Oilers have won 3 straight games ... and are looking for a 4th.
My prediction: Leafs 2, Oilers 3
I don't think it'll be an easy game, by any means ... but I think Conklin and Co. will squeak this one out.

Since joining the NHL in 1979-80, the Oilers have an all-time record of 37-33-8-1 (.525) in 79 games versus the Maple Leafs and have outscored Toronto 329-290. Edmonton is 22-13-6-1 (175-136) in 42 games at Skyreach Centre and 15-20-2-0 (154-154) in 37 games on the road.
The Leafs aren't doing so well on their roadtrip and yet have a win under their belt. They are going to be hungry and will be working hard for for two points. The Oil are pumped right now riding a 3 game winning streak and will want to redeem their 4-1 loss to the Leafs from a couple of weeks ago.
Unfortunately, the rumour is that Laraque will not be in the lineup. I was hoping there might be a Laraque/Belak matchup.
Magic 8-ball tells me that the Oil will squeak out a one goal win in a very hard-fought battle.
Woo hoo! Is it my lucky day, or what? I guess the score right, the Oilers win ... and tomorrow, we should see some Leaf fans here, with some new slogans added onto their posts, posting reasons why the Oilers won ...

Edmonton had a pretty game tonight, got the lead and held on. SInce this game ended up being a 1 goal game in the end, its the PP goal that really made the differance. Hemsky finally shot the puck, and actually scored tonight. Conklin agian was unreal, Edmonton is now unbeaten in 5 which is quite impressive. Staios had a really good night, looked awsome.. even saved a goal.
