(EDMONTON - Sat. Nov. 15 - 8:00pm MST) OILERS RETURN HOME TO HOST CALGARY -- The Edmonton Oilers (7-7-2-0) return home following a six-game road trip to host the Calgary Flames (6-8-0-1) Saturday at Skyreach Centre in the first game of a four-game homestand. It is the third of six meetings between the teams this season and it is Calgary's second of three visits to Edmonton in 2003-04. The Oilers trail the seasonal series 0-2-0-0.
Thoughts, comments, predictions?
Salo probably won't be back, niether will Izzy or Reasoner. My prediction: 5-4 Oilers...
2-1 win and Smyth scored the OT winner. This had to be one of the most exciting games I've seen all season, ended awsome also. Conklin looked awsome, bad break on the Flames goal other than that he was flawless all night. Even if Salo is healthy I think Edmonton should ride Conklin as far as they can. Cross had a very strong game tonight I was impressed by his play... Oilers looked great in their own end except for face offs, which is still an issue that needs to be fixed. Last game Edmonton won excatlly half of them, I don't even want to know what the % was this game cause if had to be somewhere near 30. PK was great, PP was awful as usual. The oilers have to main issues they need to address, faceoffs and the PP both of those can be the differance b/w a win or a loss. Other than that I loved the game...
