Default Oilers vs Wild

Edmonton will face the Wild, Thursday, November 13. This game will end the 6-game road trip, then the Oilers go back home to face Calgary on Saturday. Oilers 3rd string goalie, Stephen Valiquette may start this game, depending on how Conklin feels about playing 4 games in 6 days.

Thoughts, comments predictions?

My prediction: 4-3 Oilers.

The Wild have a record of 6-3-1-0 in the past ten games. The Oil (finishing up a road trip 2-2-1-0) are 3-5-2-0 in the past ten. I always find it difficult to predict Wild/Oil games (I find it hard just trying to figure out the Wild).

Last season the Oil went 3-0-0-2 with the Wild. Close games as the total goals scored were 14 to 10 in favour of the Oil.

Magic 8-ball says the Oil will lose by two goals. I'm gonna go with a win by the Oil by one marker. I guess this is the first time this year I've disagreed with the Magic 8-ball. k:

Almost slapshot, off by 1 goal there. 2-0 the Oilers win, with Ty Conklin in net. He played great and made some key saves. I'm beginning to believe this guy will take over number one...

LOL, Im praying that Conklin is going to be able to pull number one... but with a shut out tonight I think that he might just be able to. Well I think this night was a good re-bound game from last game. Edmonton go the lead early and held on to win, they scored first and didn't have to battle back once in the whole game. MUCH better in the faceoff circle, Edmonton won 50% of the draws which is alot better than the 30% from last game. The only issue that I have is that they didn't score a PP goal this time around either, Edmonton really needs to get this PP online... they have no trouble scoring goals at even strenght, I wonder why their having such a hard time scoring on the PP.

With the money that Salo makes (yeah, I know - let's not compare Oiler salaries to others around the league! ) I can't see Salo playing as backup.

What's the deal with Pete Peeters as goalie coach? Maybe that's the problem for Tommy's play this year.
