Default Easy 2 points for BJs?

Well, the Oil are on a 3 game losing skid and face the BJs on Thursday. That's 4 days to work on some "fine tuning" before the BJ game. What do you think MacT is going to focus on? Do you think it will make a difference?

Looking ahead they follow up that game with a home game against the Wings before departing Edmonchuck for a 6 game roadtrip.

My guess is the Oil have to work on their lacklustre defensive game (Eric Brewer) and practice taking more shots. Thoughts, anyone?

True, they seem to not like shooting the puck, I bet if one of tehm got a breakaway they would drop the puck back at the last second hoping someones trailing. You'll always miss 100% of the shot you don't take...

Things to improve on:

-discipline on penatlies
-shooting the puck
-Salo; consistent game
-less sloppy passes (giveaways)
-special teams

Let's hope that the Oilers will work on everything by Thursday.

Easy 2 points? I don't think so, this CBJ has improved alot and should not be taken lightly. If the oilers keep playing as they are they could easly lose this game in the first period... If the skate worked edmonton should be ready to come out and play 110% better than they have been.

He said Easy 2 points for Columbus

But I do agree with you that the jackets are an improved team MacLean has made some of the best free agent signings over the last 2 seasons to complement his team.

It seems like a 4 day layoff is almost unheard of these days in the NHL. I hope MacT has put the time to good use. It would almost seem like training camp - part II.

Actually Im thinking it might be a good thing for the Oilers to have this time off, maybe it'll shake them out of the grove they've been playing in lately.

Columbus is not a bad team anymore. Rick Nash is doing very good, as well as his centerman, Mr Todd Marchant, I think we all know who he is. Edmonton better get off to a good start (first goal), and hang on to the lead (if they get one...).
