The Oilers host the St. Loius Blues, Tuesday October 21, 7 pm MT, on Sportsnet West. Edmonton has came off an amazing win over the powerhouse Avs 6-3, using grit and determination. Let's hope that they can pull off a win against the Blues. Al MaCinnis will not be in the lineup due to an eye injury the may end his great career.
Any thoughts, predictions? I think the Oilers win win it again after they gained momentum from the Avs game, 5-3.
I expect the Oilers to win also, they've finally got some chemistry going and are gaining momentum scoring goals. This is a game that the Oilers need to win to keep this team rolling, players a settling in with each other and hopefully MacT wont need to juggle the lines up.

Although I'd rather the Oil won, I think they're going to go into tomorrows game overconfident, and get a good seat to watch the Weight and Sejna show. St. Louis 4-1
For years the Oil have been a model of inconsistancy. A couple nights of good/stellar hockey followed by a few crappy/poor performances and then at the end they manage to crawl into 8th spot in time for the playoffs.
IF they play tonight like they did against the Avs then they have a good chance to win. If they play as they did against Calgary and Vancouver they don't stand a chance.
I'm not a wagon-jumper-offer, I just look at things realistically (or try to, anyway).
They just have to build on a good win and go from there. No one can take any nights off.
They may come into tonight's game a little over confident and that may bite them in the rear. It may be a good thing to give Conklin another start in order to save Salo for the Avs on Thursday.

Gramps, I know you don't care for Tommy but having him ride the pine tonight might do more harm than good. Tommy likes the workload and he needs some good games under his belt to keep his confidence level up.
My guess is we won't see Conklin starting until their upcoming 6 game road trip. He might get in a game or two then.
Brent Johnnson is getting the nod. The Oilers are pretty lucky, facing two backups in a row from two very good teams. Mind you, Osgood and Aebischer aren't great...
