Default Improved power play

Seems the Oil have been working on their power play since that dismal outing with Vancouver (oh for 9). I think they should also maybe shoot more even when they are 5 on 5. 14 shots for the entire game is disgusting.

What are your thought for the Calgary/Edmonton game, tonight?

I'm hoping the Oil come out flying and play the game like it is a do-or-die playoff contest.

PP is definelty an issue, as is scoring in general. It seemed to me that the Oilers had a off night against the Nucks, which is distrubing to see so early in the season, I hope that served as a wake up call to the Oilers and they come out ready to play tonight. Flames/Oil matchups are always great to watch, and I really want to see how the Oilers are able to bounce back from a bad game. One of the highlights from last game is the frouth line, this line has some great chemistry and always put in an high energy shift that is able to change the momentum of the game. I'm expecting some good things from that line tonight. It seems to me that almost every line that the oilers has the abilty to score some timely goals, which is a great thing to get secondary scoring; I'd like to see some players step up this game... It should be a good game, first game after a loss Battle Of Alberta.

Even though it is a very early game in the season, I think this is a must win game, to get the momentum started to have a good start early off. The Oilers should give it their all and hope that their powerplay practises paid off. I'm guessing 4-3 Oilers, in a well fought Battle Of Alberta.

This is all tough to say. The Oilers certainly need to improve their special teams performance from last season. I don't think that's in much doubt. However, they also really need to work on their even strength play, which is more indicative of a team's chances of winning over the course of the season.

I believe the Oilers priority should be towards their even strength play.
