Grandpa Oiler has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default Comrie has played his last game as an Oiler

The Edmonton Sun reports today that Mike Comrie has played his last game as an Oiler. Even his agent Rich Winter admits it. Meanwhile, Kevin Lowe says that he's in a "no-lose" situation and will make the best deal possible for the club.

Anyone who saw Gene Principe's interview with Comrie at the airport from last night will agree that Comrie wants out. When asked if he wants to remain an Oiler..Comrie basically said no. He dodged the question like a politician but his body language said it all.

Oilers lineup for opening night is..

Isbister - Smyth - Dvorak
Chimera - York - Hemsky
Moreau - Reasoner - Pisani
Torres - Horcoff - Laraque

Semenov - Brewer
Staios - Smith
Bergeron - Cross

Salo
Conklin

Never say never. If the Oilers somehow increased their contract offer, I'm sure Comrie would entertain it for sure.

Grampa Hemmer should be playing with Smyth and Izzy.

As for Comrie if we can get something decent for him I'll even pay his plane ticket

I wonder how many problems the league would have if it wasn't for greedy agents. I have as much respect for player agents as I do for lawyers and insurance companies...and my ex-wife....none.

No actually in teh last couple preseason games, the Chimera-York-Hemsky line was very good and had lots of chemistry. So I guess everyone is calling Hemsky Hemmer now eh?

Yeah I like the nickname Hemmer. I didn't know since I haven't really looked much at the preseason. If he plays well I have no objections to it.

Don't beleive everything you hear, and who knows anything can happen. But I'd rather have him walk then pay him 3.5mill a season for numbers that he didn't put up, I'm really wondering ast to what team is intrested in him. THe season is starting, most of the teams have their players in place and are starting to develope chemisty b/w their lines... why add a new player right when things are just about to get started... I'd bet he'll stay in Edmonton...

Sure, but you have to admit he was/is a great asset to our team. He has blinding skills and for a guy who isn't one of the tallest, he has great speed.
