On Saturday, October 4th, 2003, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation launched at http://www.oilersauction.com , an online auction site that will give Oilers fans everywhere the opportunity to support charities in Edmonton and Northern Alberta by bidding on specially created collectibles.

The silent auctions that take place at every Oilers home game are a big contributor to the fundraising programs of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation. Now Oilers fans will be able to “play” for charity during away games.

Hockey fans can view upcoming auction items, and register to bid, one week prior to every Oilers away game.

The auction site will be open for bidding from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on game day, however users will be able to view auction items five days prior to each away game.
