Thanks for admitting that the people of Detroit for the most part are disinterested in the wings.

So to say they would have no problem filling up an out door stadium is a stretch and miss leading with no proof what so ever to back up your claim of selling out .

Funny how wings fans claim poverty for the declining attendance yet the people of Detroit and area have money for other sports at higher prices and bigger venues.
I've changed my mind, a kindergartener would be much easier to get through to. At least they'd try to understand.

There is no point to quote of all this mess because you know who you are in this response.

I'd like to give a round of applaud to the guy that said the Wings did not sell out any playoff games. That's a laugh in a half. Do you have proof of it?

I believe the same guy said we don't support our team or something along those lines. Well this is all I have to say to that,

The fact of the matter is Detroit has the best American fan base. The only reason Canadian teams beat them out is because that's all they have.

When you factor in the high ticket price, the bad economy (especially in Detroit our mayor is horrible!), and the other winning teams in Detroit I'd say our attendance is pretty good. Hell weve only been top 3 for the past decade and a half.

The Detroit Lions sell out every game.
The Detroit Pistons have sold out 200+ games
The Detroit Tigers don't sell out every game but there attendance has gotten dramatically better.
Than we also have the Michigan Wolverines who put 100,000+ people into the stands every game.

So when you look at it, people are just going to all the games.

Edited out name calling, restored post.

Sorry about that.

Your post has been restored, but please refrain from name-calling in the future.

But, you made a very concise, valid point. Thank you for your insight.

No worries, just remember for the future.

Yeah, I've been to a couple games at the Joe. I went to 5 last year, including game 2 against the Preds in the first round. Its not the best building, but all the games I've been to have been very entertaining. I've only been to a game where they lost once, and its always fun to see your team win live.

That video really shows how many people were at the parade. I've never been to any of the parades that have been held, this year because I had to work. Next time though.

Really now? he BlueJays left too? Toronto FC is gone? The CFL closed up? The Raptors......well wait no-one gives a **** about the raptors so youv'e got a point there.

The reason Canadian teams beat you (often and repeatedly) is because while Detroit fans have loyal fans....that's all they are. Fans. Hockey's a damn near religion here.

The rest of it is pretty spot on.

If he could stand up for himself he'd still be in Edmonton.
