Default Hossa to wear the winged wheel

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08184/894245-100.stm

This is quite a surprising way to wake up. I am very excited seeing as how Hossa was the guy who scared me the most in the Stanley Cup Finals. He is going to have an incredible year.

Wow. Thats all I can really say. This is ridiculous. And for only one year too. I guess Hossa really does want to win, eh? Lets just hope we can do it.

An excellent move by Holland. I expect him sign his grit next, which may be McCarty or Downey, or something completely different.

This is part of the recipe for a repeat.

You know the team is physically and emotionally worn down from a long playoff run. You need excitement. Hossa brings that because right now I'm wishing I could see him skating with Z...You need hungry guys. Most of the team isn't. Hossa is. That is infectious.

Should these threads be merged?

That's fine, and I actually missed that it was in the Red Wings section. I just hit "New Posts" and they came up next to each other.

YES!!!!!!!!! It happened, the wings got the black spot, one year in which I can sleep easy.

Never sign a loser, all they know to do is lose, and Hossa is the king of the losers.

Would Finger have given them a better chance of winning? Hossa had a great playoff run last year, and is motivated to win. And would Sundin have been a better choice? Seems to me he hasn't won anything either.

Have to give props to Holland and the Wings. They are the model franchise and not only because they won the Cup, but because they treat all players very well.

Kudos to Detroit. They're a team that continues to draw players towards them not just because of location, how much they're paying, or how the city is, but because they are a winner. The players that want to win the Stanley Cup go to Detroit, the organisation filled with management that just wants to win, and will do whatever is possible to do so.

There's no "Country Club" nonsense with them.
