Can we win game 6? I doubt it.

Can we then win game 7? Hopefully.

Look, the pressure is surely on the Wings, but it was when they had to close out Nashville too. And they did that on the road. And honestly, they were chasing the early exit ghosts then!

I don't like that they haven't won, but they have fired a lot of shots at the net in the last two games. I don't see Turco surviving a 40 SOG night, and I think you'll see that kind of effort. Zetterberg with 10 SOG, Kronwall with 5, Samuelsson with 7, etc.

Wings aren't getting destroyed by Dallas, they're getting bothered by them. I'm pumped for tonight!

Holmstrom (he) gets the contraversy so that he gets his share of redwings goals waved off (how the puck is that helping your team, now I ask you? He says he will do anything to help his team win then he helps get goals waved off with his contraversial play and his actions, well it was his own fault Marty Turco bashed him during the series ) and enough they're considering different options, one of which is adding a second line and yes he doesnt act like any other player who do regular screening

btw Im watching the redwings game tonight, I want the wings to win the conference trophy and then play Fleury and the Pittsburgh Penguins for the cup

btw maybe he never gets any calls cause all the refs know him by now and they see number 96 and think oh yea its just 96 again i aint gonna call it lmao

the wings better win the Stanley Cup. Even though i like Fleury and the pens (always did)

but if Holmstrom does it again I'm gonna break his legs.

Umm... so its Homers fault the refs made a bad call? Give me a break.

Holmstrom's net front play is what it is. He hasn't been the same since getting hurt and that's a bigger problem than one goal getting called back.

The refs continue go easy on the stars, but the stars are playing harder and harder, which doesn't make sense. Detroit should have more PP than Dallas tonight, and if they can manage that, they should be able to equalize when needed. With the choppy ice, I'm hoping for a game like #3, where there were only 10 penalties and Detroit got to roll all 4 lines.

well he doesnt help matters much

he does the things he does its easy to see him and then make an assumption based on who it is (I know its unfair but oftentimes the world isnt fair.)

He's played like this since the late 90's. The fact that he's being called now, when clearly he isn't doing anything wrong, is not his fault. Basically, what you want is for Holmstrom to stop doing what he's excelled at for years. That makes little to no sense at all.

The refs need to make calls based on the play, not based on reputation. Especially when that reputation is unjustified.

Exactly how has Holmstrom's play impacted his team this series?
1). Countless positive efforts resulting in scoring chances and goals.
2). One redirected goal
3). One redirected disallowed goal.
4). A couple stupid penalties.
5). A couple of penalties drawn.
6). One complete wipe out on a break-away.

Hmmm, not much to worry about there. I would prefer Holmstrom continue to do his thing. That wipeout wasn't pretty.

I have no problem with screeners. Its a strategic way to get a puck past a hot goalie who you normally might not be able to score on. I just think Holmstrom overdoes it.

I have a good friend who is a goaltender and he said he doesnt like the way Holmstrom plays either. also thinks he overdoes it.

(of course my friend is a goalie, so he's going to be rather biased but well....)

but I think i got my point across, no need for me to keep bringing this up either.

Valiant effort by the Stars. This goes to prove however that being down 3 zip is pretty much unbeatable. Once your down that badly your done. It will take a very special team to go down in history again as one of those who forced a GM7 and won.

Best of luck to the Wings.
