Ouch.

Stasny
Smyth
Forsberg
Wolski
Hannan (less than 100%)

Its hard to beat anyone, let alone the Wings, with that many guys out.

Imagine Detroit icing a team without Datsyuk, Holmstrom, Cleary, and Filppula, and playing with Kronwall hurt.

I don't think we'd beat any of the playoff teams with those guys out.

Still, that's what happens. And the way Colorado has struggled with injuries, you wonder about their training and their luck.

GO WINGS.

The Wings completed the sweep. They played really well this round, though their PK was suspect. Get it in gear guys, 'cause Dallas and SJ both have better Power Plays.

If anyone making predictions for the cup after watching that dismantling of the #6 seed, doesn't see the Wings as the favorite, they are blinded by Sidney Crosby's lips.

You have to remember though, Dallas has taken out the Ducks, and look to be having a fairly easy time with the Sharks. And the Penguins seem to barely even notice that they are playing against anyone. I don't mind people thinking the Wings can't win, makes me feel even better when they do.

C'mon Nutter, you gotta have faith. You did predict Avs in 7....

Trust me, Turco is a mere mortal, and he's more like a collander when he plays the Wings. Osgood, as good as he's been, plays remarkably well against Dallas.

And though the Wings haven't seen much of Philly and Pittsburgh, They dismantled Pitt and the Philly defense is slow (though very hard-nosed...like Foote).

The Wings are the favorite. But they have to keep playing, and they have to play better than they did against Colorado to win.

This is all part of superstition for me. I convince myself the Wings will lose every series, and predict the Wings will probably lose or will have a really hard time winning. And when I'm wrong, I don't mind being wrong.

And I also have to be sure to wear my Yzerman jersey. The Wings haven't lost yet in these playoffs when I remember to wear it, but they lost both times that I didn't. So until they lose when I am wearing it, that remains as part of my routine. I know it seems childish and dumb, but I figure it can't hurt, right?

That's funny, that's what everyone was saying going into the Montreal series and the Washington series

COnsidering the shots allowed total, they may have a point.

If he could stand up for himself he'd still be in Edmonton.

Considering the number of power plays, one of which was a quarter of a period alone in itself, they still don't.

The Habs have had about 2 full periods of power play time on the Flyers in 4 games.

With those kind of numbers, they ought to have a ton of shots on goal, don't you think?
