Ah, well I've never had this problem with them. Maybe its time to get over it.
Generally I find they do a good job with updates, usually getting them from pretty reliable sources. The possibility that they are going to make a mistake is definitely there, given that they seem to run updates as quickly as they can. I've never noticed any significant errors this season though.
This was my first playoff game, and I must say the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. The fans were loud and really into the game, especially after goals. When McCarty scored I thought my ears were going to burst my section exploded so loudly. And I think the crowd cheers just as hard for the whirling of the Octopus as they do for the goals.
Anyways, I found that Hasek was great. He was solid, outside of a 2 minute stretch there. People quickly forget that he was paramount in saving the team in the first, and then quickly made up for his errors in the 2nd and 3rd.
Babcock made a great decision in calling that timeout, I really think it helped to settle the team down.
Both Hudler and Filppula seem a little snake bit right now, but both had good offensive pressure. DZH dominated, same with Rafi and Lids. The stars are performing and the guys are showing they are capable, both offensively and defensively
It was a very memorable experience for me, and I hope I get to experience it all again sometime.
With this series all wrapped up, our round 2 foe will be decided tonight in the Flames/ Sharks game. Personally, I say GO SHARKS! so we can play the Avs and rekindle the rivalry a bit. And then hope we win, and the Stars beat the Sharks. I love playing against Dallas, its always intense.
