Detroit with another good win against the Canucks, and the DZH line continues to role. Zetterberg is just on an absolute tear, and Holmstrom is almost half way to his points from last season already. Holmstrom just seems to fit with those two so well, bugging the opposition enough to give them space. Also, these guys haven't given an inch defensively. Datsyuk and Zetterberg continue to show why I consider them both 2 of the best 2-way players in the league.

That was a good game last night by the Wings. Osgood improves to 5 and 0 this season. Zetterberg had an awesome take away and had an excellent scoring chance on the breakaway but Luongo stopped him. Holmstrom is doing awesome as well. And, they took a goal away from Homer and gave it to Hank from the game against the Sharks. Looking forward to the game against the Oilers on Tuesday.

I find it interesting that the Detroit Red Wings are the only team in the NHL to have their "Letters" on the right hand side of their jersey's, whereas all the other teams wear them on the left side over their heart.

Do any of you know the reason behind this?

With the new jerseys, the stitching on left side got in the way. Simple as that.

Ah... that win feels great. 24 seconds left, and Filppula wins it for us. Datsyuk and Zetterberg extend their streaks, and Osgood again is solid. Wings are looking good.

So, Detroit manages to sweep through the Western Canadian teams for the first time in team history with another solid performance. 2 more points for both Zetterberg and Datsyuk, and Osgood with another solid performance.

4-1 Wings win.

Again another excellent win for the Wings. After Calgary got that early goal, I was thinking for just half a second that Ozzy is due for a bad game and it might be tonight. But, he shut them down after that. Henrik Zetterberg is amazing, keeps his streak going. Datsyuk with a couple of points last night, along with Lidstrom i think got a couple points. They are just dominating. Like their season slogan, they are Fire On Ice!

This team couldnt be any better right now. Even when they play like $h!t, they still win. Good effort from Calgary in the 3rd, but 20 mins of good hockey isnt enough.

How a guy can win 6 games in a young season and have his best performance in his 7th win is amazing. Osgood was outstanding.
