Now THAT was a ******* gift. Retarded officiating tonight.
That was just plain awful. They waive off that goal but not one on the Penguins a few weeks ago when Jordan Staal was in the net by himself, not pushed and it was counted. The officials really did create the outcome of this game today...unreal.

they waived it off because supposedly holmstorm blocked geguires attempt to block the shot. thats what the telecasters said, but that also said that todd bertuzzi's easton synergy elite stick costed $250. lol
so i think it was a good goal. holmstorm did his job and i guess the refs dont like us. so...
how about that fight that almost broke out at the end of the game.

That was a brutal call. I'm wondering if they were making up for the call on Beauchimen where he went to the box for tripping Zetterberg. Zetterberg clearly fell lost an edge there.
Whatever the case is that was poor call.

I saw that, but taking a tying goal away is a lot worse than a making up for a "tripping" call.
I just don't like how that goal was waived off where another one earlier this year was allowed when the player was in the crease beside the goaltender and prevented him from getting across the net to square up to the shooter. Not only that, the net was coming off the moorings.

Was Detroit able to go upstairs for that call. I would have done anything possible to get that one back. Looks like they kind of let it go.

I'm absolutely pissed off right now. I don't care if the initial call was questionable, that was ridiculous.
As a side note, NBC is brutal. So many absolutely retarded things said by the commentators that just made me roll my eyes.
Thats not reviewable, nothing they could do about it.
Wow. That's bullspit. I remember a few years ago Andy Murray refused to send his players back on to the ice until the referees reviewed a goal that they counted for the Colorado Avalanche. They ended up going back upstairs and ended up waiving it off.
I don't know about what happens when they waive a goal off and they try something of the sort but it would have been interesting to see it.
