65 pts now for the habs
166 goals for 3rd in the league and wings fans still think MTL is a mickey mouse club.
It's gonna be pretty funny when you guys will get destroy by SJ , Ana or another western conference team only to see them lose to my habs.
Nobody can stop us.
First, youre a desperate homer, which is typical of a Montreal fan.
Second, your team plays in the god-awful East.
Third, you may well be the best team in the god-awful East, but I sincerely doubt Montreal makes it to the SCFs.
Fourth, why on God's green earth should Wings fans care on iota about Montreal? The only time we should be concerned with you (and you with us) is if we meet in the Finals.
Which isnt going to happen. Wonderful, your team beat Ottawa without its two best players playing. And barely won at that.
Talk to me when Heatly and Alfredsson are back in the lineup and Montreal overtakes them for good in the standings.
Even then, the playoffs are fickle. Puck bounces funny ways. Thats why in hockey, an 8th seed beating a 1st seed isnt weird. In any other sport, its a big deal...a BIG deal.
Not in hockey. Nope, an 82 game regular season that means absolutely nothing the day the playoffs start. Bounce here, a bounce there, add in an injury or two and your team is golfing.
Montreal is not dominant. Theyre capable. One of the few capable teams in the woeful East. So, congrats on that.
Montreal will be eliminated by either a) Ottawa, b) New Jersey or c) Philly. All better teams, all more equipped for a playoff run.
1. 3 goals Hasek should have had. The first one he was cheating, he needs to keep his pad on the post. The next two need no explanation. Just Hasek being terrible.
2. Toskala killed us
3. No jump for Detroit on the PP. What the hell is going on?
4. Short bench. No Hudler, no Cleary makes for a pretty weak second line. We need another top 6 forward at the deadline.
5. Not finishing. I know Toskala played well, but there were a couple plays there that the Wings need to capitalize on.
We didnt play horrible, didn't play great. Pretty much sums up the last month for us.

I'm shocked, I turned the game off to make dinner and at the time it was 2-1 wings, and I thought that the game was over at that point. The wings seemed to be dominating the game. To look now and see that Toronto won, that's a shocker. Toskala was basically standing on his head to keep the Leafs in the game, but I thought that when the second goal was scored that the flood gates were open.

Detroit hasn't been playing with any life lately. It really doesn't surprise me that they lost this game.
Aaron Downey just gave George Parros a nice fight and I give him the win over the significantly larger guy. Wow, it was short, but I expected Parros to manhandle him.

About the only good thing about Detroit's game right now. This is bloody horrible to watch.

That last call on the Ducks for goaltender interference was a gift. See what they can do with it. The guy I'm up against this week in fantasy has Osgood playing, so I'm hoping he gets shelled...that's the only reason.

And then they send the Ducks right back to the power play.

Not really a gift, the ref called what he saw, and he saw Osgood get run. Its not as if Osgood put himself in the lane and then went for the dive.

Nice goal, but the Wings won't win this game. Playing horrible.
Got a power play here with 2 and half left...not a great call, but that's the way it goes.
