Well, the Wings PP finally woke up and we came out with a great win against the Sharks. The reffing was sub-par, with things being missed on both sides, but that happens. Cleary really has been a monster lately, has really impressed me. Rafalski, Lidstrom, and Zetterberg all had HUGE games, but Hasek wasn't great. But in his defense, Detroit is terrible at clearing rebounds/ keeping the opposition away from the rebounds. We need a big physical defensemen to move those bodies away, and maybe a 2nd liner. If we can get both of those by the trade deadline, and stay healthy in the playoffs, this is a Stanley Cup team.

I wasnt expecting that sort of game. The refs had to make those calls. They werent intereference/holding penalties, they were high sticks, trips and even more high sticking penalties.

So really, I didnt watch the Wings do much, I just watched the Sharks shoot themselves in the foot over and over and over....

That Hasek dive didn't need to be called. I can understand Sharks fans frustrations with that call. But outside of that the calls were warranted, I just thought that a couple other plays could have been whistled as well. I don't remember exactly what anymore though...

And the Wings only allowed 1 shot in the first period. How can you say you didn't see them do anything? They shut them down completely, and then responded well when the Sharks pulled even, showing their ability to hold their composure, even when the momentum has shifted.

I like our team right now, despite some special team deficiencies. The scary part is that they could be even better.

Detroit is doing absolutely terrible right now. Phoenix is coming out way more fresh than we are. The defense and offense both need to wake up.

Osgood was amazing in this game, he really kept us in it, and then maintain the lead when Doan went on that breakaway in the last 30 seconds.

Lidstrom and Datsyuk also had great games in the end. Kronwall is injured, news is that its at least a week, probably longer. Rob Blake anyone?

Osgood did keep us in the game. That stop on Doan was a good one, even though Doan didn't do much. Kronwall is injured again, too bad he can't go a season without getting hurt.

I would absolutely love to see a Detroit/Montreal Stanley Cup Final for 2 reasons.
1). Original Six / Storied History
2). Wings would win the Cup with ease.

Please don't get the guy started... you'll find yourself in some nonsensical argument about how Kovalev should be a Hart Trophy candidate, Huet is the epitome of consistency, Hasek and Osgood are "3rd age goalies", and of course, Lemieux is god. And if you don't agree, you're blind and an idiot for sure.

Reason will not be accepted.

Guy Lafleur is also my hero and I like Jeremy Roenick.

And obviously you are a joke.

Good luck detroit , you'll need it.

Ps:Mario Lemieux is the god of hockey , how can you argue with that?

Gretzky is a loser.
