Alright, of course Hasek had one of the lowest GAA last season, he was on Detroit, the strongest defensive team in the league. Look at Legacy's numbers in '05-'06. Now look at his numbers as a Blue. They are no where near as good.

Everybody is now going to now argue my statement by saying "Oh CRF, But St.Louis Is A Bad Team With No Defence..." and that is exactly my point. ANY goalie who plays for Detroit is going to look good, hell even Jose Theodore can post a 2.05 GAA on the Wings.

No was for this whole new goalie situation, not only should Detroit sign a new goalie, but they should make some more major moves. A little off topic, but the only real signing I have heard of from Detroit is Signing Rafalski.

So what if he isn't a great natural tender? HE GOT THE JOB DONE. Until he really ****s up and has a really off season (which could happen), let him have at it. If not, let Jimmy Howard get between the pipes and prove himself. The possiblities are endless.

Oh yeah, about Howard. Heres what he did in Maine:

Most shutout record (Maine Hockey)
1.19 GAA
.956 SP
Most minutes played by an AHL tender (Grand Rapids)
Led Grifs' to AHL finals

Word.

Ok, so Hasek sucks.... whatever. But if he already showed that he can perform for the Wings, then why get a new one? Hell, if its like you say, why don't we keep rotating AHL goaltenders since apparently ANY goalie is going to look good in Detroit.

You have to be one of the most ignorant people to post on these boards if you think Detroit needs to make another major move. For what reason? Is there some major hole in the roster? Detroit right now needs a top 4 defensemen to look a little better on the back end. Even without another D we still look pretty good. Get off the Red Wings hate wagon you're on, and worry about your own damned team.
